His foreign patent work includes participation in contested proceedings before the Opposition Division of the European Patent Office. Killough served as an Adjunct Professor of Patent Law at the University of South Carolina School of Law for six years. Killough serves on two South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) Business and Science Advisory Boards – Biomedical Sciences and Industry 4.0 – the latter of which he serves as Chair. He also serves on SCRA’s Medical Device Commercialization Advisory Panel (MDCAP).
B.C. Killough is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society. Killough regularly litigates intellectual property, unfair competition, and trade regulation matters before US District Courts, and trademark matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. He is a member of the Intellectual Property Institute, a national fellowship of intellectual property litigators.
