Edward G. White II received his law degree from the University of Tennessee in 1983. He has extensive litigation experience in medical, hospital and dental malpractice defense as well medical device matters. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Defense Research Institute and the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association. In 1997 he served as President of the Knoxville Bar Association and he has also served as treasurer, chairman of the Continuing Legal Education Committee, and as a member of the Board of Governors. In 1992, he was honored as the first recipient of the Knoxville Bar Association’s “President’s Award” for outstanding performance and service to the Bar. In January 2007, 2008, and 2009 he was selected as one of the 150 Best Lawyers in Tennessee in the area of medical malpractice in a poll of leading attorneys, judges, and corporate executives conducted by Business Tennessee magazine. He is a Master of the Bench in the American Inns of Court, Hamilton Burnett Chapter. He is a 2006 Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation and a 2003 Fellow of the Knoxville Bar Foundation. Mr. White is a frequent lecturer and writer on medical/legal topics. He serves on the board of various charitable foundations, including the Knoxville Bar Foundation, the Knoxville affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and the Elizabeth R. Griffin Research Foundation. Ted enjoys fly-fishing, hiking and backpacking, sailing, and boating.
