James R. Stout, founder and lead attorney of Stout Law Firm, has spent his entire legal career as a litigator. His practice currently focuses on real estate law, including evictions, HOA disputes, investment disputes, and quiet title litigation.

James is passionate about achieving the best possible outcome for his clients, and he will not stop until his clients are satisfied. This drive comes from a dedication to justice. When James sees that his client suffered an injustice, or someone claims they did, he sets out to right that wrong, ensuring his clients are properly compensated for their loss or removed from harm’s way. James is obsessed with attention to detail and making sure he is completely prepared before jumping into a case.

James worked for a real estate investment company where he sold undeveloped land in California. He worked as a stockbroker while in college. He worked for large prestigious law firms in the real estate business. This experience provided James with the opportunity to observe hundreds of attorneys practice in the courtroom, and allowed James to learn from those attorneys what to do, and what not to do, to persuade a judge to rule in his clients’ favor. As a result, James is able to focus on and employ the most effective courtroom techniques.

James received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from San Diego State University, and completed law school at Thomas Jefferson School of Law where he was an editor for Law Review.
