For more than three decades, Bob Stovash has served as statewide litigation counsel for individual and corporate clients handling complex state and federal banking litigation, business and corporate litigation, real estate litigation, employment litigation, and construction litigation matters. His success in resolving matters, both pre-suit and in court, is attributable to his ability to leverage the strengths of his client’s claims or defenses while developing case-specific strategies to expose the legal weaknesses of his adversaries. When a comprehensive pre-trial strategy is needed, Mr. Stovash efficiently utilizes discovery and motion practice to build his client’s case. At trial, he is an aggressive courtroom advocate.
In addition to his trial practice, Mr. Stovash maintains a civil appellate practice. His appellate practice focuses on business-related appeals in the state and federal appellate courts.
Beginning in November of 2022, Mr. Stovash launched the firm’s new Mediation Practice. Mr. Stovash is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator. Because of his extensive litigation experience, Mr. Stovash is engaged by litigants and their attorneys to facilitate resolutions of their legal disputes through the mediation process statewide.
Bob Stovash also serves as outside counsel for select small and medium companies, helping them navigate business law issues that arise in their daily business operations. Using the team at Stovash, Case, Shay & Pearce, P.A., as well as attorneys in other firms with specific areas of expertise, Mr. Stovash manages his clients’ legal work to efficiently resolve matters through one point of contact.
Mr. Stovash is an “AV” rated attorney, the highest rating achievable for legal ability and ethics by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, which is the facilitator of the peer review process that rates attorneys. The Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory ratings reflect the confidential opinions of members of the Bar and the Judiciary.
In 2023 and 2024, Mr. Stovash was selected by Super Lawyers, a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The Super Lawyers selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluation. Mr. Stovash’s selection each year was based on his experience in Commercial, Corporate, and Banking Litigation. In August of 2023, Best Lawyers, a widely regarded peer-review publication company in the legal profession, announced that Mr. Stovash was selected by his peers to be included in the 2024 edition of Best Lawyers in America. The Best Lawyers selection process is designed to capture the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleague.
Mr. Stovash’s career additionally includes recognition for outstanding pro bono legal service, selection in 2010 as one of Florida Trend Magazine’s Legal Elite, selection as one of America’s Most Honored Professionals in 2016, and being named as one of the Orlando Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 in the Central Florida community.
Throughout his career, Mr. Stovash has served in leadership positions on the boards of community, government, and charitable organizations, including serving as the Chairman and a Commissioner on the Orange County Florida Planning and Zoning Commission and Local Planning Agency, Chair and a Board Member of the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce Small Business Board, and Chair and a Board Member of Michelee Puppets, Inc. Mr. Srovash is a graduate of Leadership Orlando and Leadership Winter Park.
